If you own a mark we are serving

Email [email protected] with the domain and, if you can, the URL of the image. We do not require a formal notice or a lawyer to act — tell us and we will remove it. It helps if you write from an address at the domain concerned, or tell us how we can see that you speak for it.

What happens

• We remove the stored image and stop serving it, usually within one business day.
• We add the domain to a block list so it is never re-crawled.
• We clear the cached copies at the edge, so the mark stops appearing everywhere rather than only from our servers.
• Requests for that domain then return a plain generated letter mark.
• We reply to confirm when it is done.

If you are a favi customer and a logo you were showing has turned into a letter mark, this is the likely reason. The response header x-favi-result reads lettermark:blocked when a mark has been removed at its owner's request.

Where the images come from

Every logo is fetched from the domain's own website — the icons a site publishes for browsers to display, in the ordinary way any browser fetches them. We do not source images from other logo providers or from image search, and we do not accept uploads. How the crawler behaves, and how to stop it visiting your domain at all, is on the abuse page.
